After I changed my "First Permanent" host family for several reasons, I moved to Becky Larson who, at this time, worked for YFU as a Field Director. Becky and Dick were pretty boring people, mainly because they didn't care about their exchange students. At the time I lived there they had three students: two who were permanent in her family. In the meantime, they both changed host families and one lives now at a friend and another one lives at Shirley. Their third exchange student was temporary and lived their for three months! Sleeping on the floor... YFU found him a host family in Michigan.

At the time I was there, some District Directors were fired due to for me unknown reasons... Fact is, that YFU had at that time (and has still) money problems. I assume that these District Directors didn't want to work in the same way, YFU wanted them to. When they were fired, AFS came to the guy for the South and hired him. AFS wanted to take over the entire network, YFU had in the South. For this reason they wanted also the Field Directors which Becky was and so she quit from YFU and went to AFS. Now they got her ;) This is not necessarily a negative thing because without Becky, YFU can only become better... Becky also tried to get some host families, Area Coordinators, and Area Reps to AFS, but as far as I know, she was pretty unsuccessful.

Over Thanksgiving, Becky wanted to visit some relatives, so she found a very temporary home for me and the other guy who was temporary living at her. Her two permanent exchange students had to go with her...
